Is this course for you?

The Level 3 Certificate in Advanced Manufacturing and Robotics is an advanced, technical two-year course, equivalent to 3 A-levels. It is designed to develop your in-depth knowledge and understanding of the engineering industry, while teaching you essential technical skills that will enable you to progress to Higher Education in an engineering specialism of your choosing.

Through a combination of core units, and optional study modules, the course can be tailored to your engineering career ambitions, be it as a Mechatronics Maintenance Technician, robotics, mechanical engineer.

There is an option of a one year course that can be discussed during the interview.

You will study a mix of compulsory and optional modules in a variety of topics.

  • What do you need to apply?

    4 GCSE qualifications (or equivalent) at grade A*-C or 9-4 including English, maths and science

    or

    Relevant Level 2 vocational qualification in Engineering or science

    All students who are non-native English speakers and who have not undertaken their final two years of schooling in English, must demonstrate capability in English at a standard equivalent to IELTS 5.5; Reading and Writing must be at 5.5 or equivalent

  • How will you be assessed?

    You will be assessed by a combination of assignments, course work, observation of practical workshops, online and written exams, and a final project.

  • Where can this course take you?

    This course can provide entry on to several key Further and Higher Education courses, including:

    • HND/HNC or Foundation Degree
    • Higher Level Apprenticeship (with Foundation Degree studies)
    • Employment (with Higher Education studies)
    • Degree Courses in Engineering
